The NOX picture alarms are suitable for the secure monitoring of valuables such as pictures, paintings, sculptures, weapons and rugs around the clock. They have an integrated, patented vibration and change-of-position detector with 16-times adjustable sensitivity. The data transfer is wireless at a frequency which is specifically licensed for security applications and which is characterised by a very high insensitivity to disruption. The detectors are fixed to the objects by Velcro tape without damaging them.
Through the wireless broadcast alarm, an exhibit can be secured independently of its location. This means power lines do not have to be linked to the object and specific mechanical parts do not have to be installed. A picture alarm detector is powered by two standard 1.5 V alkaline batteries, whose status is constantly monitored. The connection by an external contact also secures objects such as sculptures or showcases.
It is possible to individually identify each alarm and each individual disruption alarm. The alarms have a flexible group allocation and thus can be deactivated as a group or individually. All radio receivers, modules and lines are monitored for sabotage. The connection capacity to the NOX system totals 2,000 radio picture alarm detectors and 64 receivers. The uninterruptable power supply secures the function of the central unit and receives, even in the case of a power outage.
